Here we go

Well, it's been a few months now.  Let's just say that there were alot of WEDDINGS happening in my life during these last couple of months...what's up with all these weddings?  I've only been to like one wedding before, 3 years ago, AND in the last 2 months, I've been to three...well, here's some pictures...oh, and to start things off on the right foot (literally...or left foot), I've got to show you this picture, check this out... "Ka-Pow!"  lol..

This is Cpl. Johnny Lin's Wedding

This is from Lcpl. Brian Chen's wedding

This is at J-Town for Irene's bday: (what is up with lil David's expression?)

We went to the Aboritum for a California Philharmonic Orchestra/ picnic...we brought a little alcohol:

And of course there were chocolate muffins:

And there were eyes watching the concert:

Sup ladies and gents...

Back in the States!!!  Here's what we've done since we've been back...this picture is on the Vegas strip in front of the Caesar's Palace.

This is me and Irene right before our "Dine In" ...the Dine In is basically a get-together for all the guys from our unit who were at Iraq.

This is Irene and me at the "Pure" nightclub at Caesar's.

This is at the Wynn (I've never been before...it looks kinda weird...don't really know the theme for it...it's pretty "natureeee" though.)

This is right in front of the Bellagio water fountain show.

hey people, well, I'm still in Iraq and alive.  I'm hoping to continue to be alive until I get back in about a little over a month from now.  Yeah, for the past month or so I've been the Convoy Machine Gunner.  It's pretty awsome to be the gunner.  I got to shoot flares at Haji trucks.  I got to see up close these two corpse hanging off this overpass.  They were so low that I could've gave this one guy who was hanging upside down by his one foot, a tap on his forehead.  The other guy was hung by his neck.  Yeah, I wish I could've took some pictures of that, but I didn't get a chance.  well, here's some pix of me and our Navy Corpsman, Doc Bagget.  Yeah, he's got one of those last names where he was made fun of in grade school up until end of high school, and it continues here in the Marines.  Poor guy, it's not his fault that he has a last name that rymes with another word that refers to gay people.  well, he's holding his 9 mil. and I'm holding my Shotgun.  The guy flicking off the camera in the back is our platoon Sgt

This is a pic of me working out at our little gym under a big tent.  Many of us kill time working out, taking a grip of proteins, and trying to look like Mr. Olympia.  I'm just working out trying to maintain, not really looking to get big or anything.

Well, I got some motivating movie footage of us on the range shooting M2 .50 cal Machine guns, M240, SAWs, and M16s...I love shooting my M2 .50 cal machine gun...it's been around since WWII, and it use to be an anti-aircraft gun...yeah! You feel this surge of power when you're behind that weapon...and you get a high firing it at trucks and things. It makes swiss cheese out of trucks and cars.  Alright, enough about weapons...this Iraq vacation is close to an end ladies and gents.  I'm glad that I was part of this whole war thing...it's a good experience.  A once in a life experience...

One thing I would like to add to the last entry or two that I've posted...In like a entry or two ago, I said how I really appreciate what all my friends are doing to support me and my Marines...well, I also want to mention how much I appreciate my xiao Irene's support.  On top of all the "moto-mails," she's also sent me countless Asian snacks like dried squid and dried fish, which one of my black Sgt's addicted to for some reason...It's really an awsome feeling gents, to know that you've got a girl who's down for you no matter what and no matter where you are.  Thank God for my xiao Irene.  Some people say that they don't want a gf because they knew they weren't able to handle a relationship when they're out here, but I gotta say, having a gf (like xiao Irene) helps bringing up my morale during this deployment; like whenever I get moto-mails or packages.  Thanks babe!

Alright, these pictures my friends are from Taji (some army base...those army dudes have it made...they have pizza hut, burger king, sub-way, and even popoye's chicken on base!!  let see, we have...chow hall 1, chow hall 2, and oh, oh, chow hall 3.)  These are the few "operational" Iraqi T-72 tanks that we didn't blow up.  This picture is with the new Iraqi Army dudes...They really wanted to take pictures for some weird reason.

and this picture shows the home of one lucky Marine...the "Camp Fallujah" sign.

Until next time...Cpl Q out!

Hey "ya'll" ...you know those old war movies where some of the soldiers or marines would be in a trench at night and have flashbacks of them when they were back home and having fun with their gf or friends...so, yeah, I had a couple of those flashbacks of me hanging out with friends.  it's crazy the detail that goes into those flashbacks.  like you would have vivid details of a very specific thing that you and your friends did that was hilarious at the time.  And I would laugh like an idiot while my roomates don't even know why I'm laughing to my self out of no where.

anyways, here's the pictures that I've promised: Saddam's Palace

here's me and the new toy the 50 cal. machine gun (aka. the hajis worst enemy!) just one round or bullet from this machine gun will take out your whole head, arm, half of a leg, or torso, if you can aim. I know, I know, I like my "guns."  You should hear this baby when you fire it, it is sweeeet!

Here's a picture of our gun trucks.  All the guns are covered up because we only uncover it before we go on our missions since it's "little" sandy out here.  It looks pretty tight when we roll out with all these gun trucks. I don't think anybody has stepped up to us yet. If I were an insurgent I wouldn't either, if I see all these gun trucks that can take out my whole village rolling down my village.

ok, more pics and thoughts and stuff next time...

cpl qian out...
